The South Dakota Department of Health has just reported that 8 individuals have tested positive for the outbreak strain of Salmonella Enteritidis linked to contaminated eggs that has sickened over 1500 victims nationwide. The Minnesota State health department has linked a cluster of 7 illnesses to the national egg recall. Spokesman Doug Schultz says seven Salmonella Enteritidis illnesses were reported May 20 as part of an outbreak at a Bemidji restaurant called Mi Rancho.
